The Start of Eden

Hi, beautiful readers
This Blog is not necessarily going to be a normal blog. This one will be more to get to know me. Not in the way, where I tell you where I am from, or about my beautiful but wild family. More on what I hope as the writer. Who I am, that you as the reader will get to know in these blogs.
I Hoping you get to know me through my writings. Just maybe you’ll get to know little more of who you are reading these too. I want to Encourage people like you to be more like you less like anyone else.
The other day I was asked to be interviewed by a close friend who is more like a little sister for a school project. The first question she asked me was - Who are you? How would you describe yourself?
Wow what simple words yet such a complex answer to be tagged along. It made me really rethink who I was. Maybe this is because I've never really been asked this by someone with such intentionally behind the words. Most of our day to day talk of who are you, usually meaning what do you do for your job. Yes that is interesting but that’s not who you are, that’s just what you do.
Getting asked this and getting to share out loud to someone in the real world outside of the mind of Eden was very freeing. My first response was to be like well I am Eden, just a women with many passions and dreams. I laughed a little at myself. That’s all I could think of on the spot.
This question really had me thinking who the heck am I? Who is Eden? What would I become?
A common theme in my life is New.
I strive for new. The more you'll get to know me through my blogs the more I think you'll start catching what my common life themes are. This is a big one. What do I mean by new?
When I say I strive for new, the world could hear that as new things like cars, homes, clothes, and whatever else you want to add with meaningless physical things.
What I am talking about is new experiences, new ways to love people well, new knowledge. Meeting strangers on random weeknights in train stations that eventually turn into friends from all over the world. New food from a stranger I had just met on the street In Brussels. Or the random bright yellow Coffee truck that's on the side on the Honolulu highway overlooking one of the bluest new surfing locations my eyes have ever seen. Getting to try local Swiss Milk, eggs and cheese right from the farm we stayed on, where you can close your eyes and taste the love in every taste bud.
I want to see new faces on my favorite walking paths in my hometown. New favorite reading or stargazing locations. Fresh snowboard paths through the trees no eyes have seen. Oh and one of favorite things is new bodies of water to jump into, cold or warm. Gosh Anyone who knows me knows how much I love swimming.
I love new people & for the people I already have in my life, I love learning new ways to love them.
New ways to style cute outfits i already have in my closet for a night out or in with friends. I am SUPER passionate about this on my day to day, in this moment of life. I have and always will love fashion. I love seeing how people use fashion to show off who they are. I will say I HATE (Editor Note- I hate the word hate) but I do strongly hate Fast Fashion. I will not be going into depth about this right now but I highly encourage and hope people go on there own time read some more about this.
So yes I do love new things but it is very different then what the world hears. New sometimes means doing the same thing I have already done a million times but it is new because its a new day.
Did you ask yourself reading this, who you are? If not now is your chance!! You may have noticed there is a lot to me. Just like there is a lot to you i’m sure. I hope this encourages you to ask yourself who you are if you haven't already. Go out and try to find more things about you, what you love. I think it is a good thing. Growing out of some things and growing into new things.
